Women in Data Science (WiDS) Kenya
I lead a community of 400+ members, organizing and hosting WiDS Kenya and Africa annual conferences and Datathon workshops since 2021. Since 2022 I have served on the WiDS Worldwide Ambassador Advisory Council, and in 2026 I was recognized as a WiDS High Impact Ambassador.
AfricaNLP
Workshop Organizer & Communications Chair. I co-organized and hosted AfricaNLP at EACL 2026, leading communications and community engagement.
Masakhane
A grassroots NLP community for Africa, by Africans. I work on NLP to support African low-resource languages. Sign up to join.
ACL
I review submissions in multilingual NLP, large language models and related areas.

I am passionate about youth empowerment and mentoring girls, and I work to build a supportive community where people can learn, connect, find inspiration, and support one another while expanding access to data science and AI opportunities for everyone.
